Reparex Fabricated Systems

Leaders in niche market
When it comes to protective coatings and applications, Reparex has got it covered with its customized solutions approach.

Headquartered in Latrobe, Pennsylvania for the past 30 years, Reparex has become a leading provider of wear resistant coatings and linings that are specifically designed to extend the productive life of material handling equipment.

The company is proud of the fact that their solutions—which are highly resistant to the abrasive effects of bulk materials such as silica, ore, glass, slag, fly ash, limestone, coal, coke, feed, grain, fertilizer, salt and other highly abrasive materials—reduce plant downtime and maintenance costs.

With a specialized expertise in providing retrofit replacement parts for high-functioning equipment, Reparex has the capability to rebuild and refurbish old components with new abrasion-resistant properties at its facility. Because of its level of expertise with machining and more specifically, diamond grinding capabilities, Reparex also provides lined or coated products finished to precision.

Reparex recognizes that every operations facility has its own needs and that’s why it offers customized solutions when it comes to material properties, engineering tolerances, attachment methods, and material costs. Whatever the case may be, Reparex has got it covered.

Team of experts offer customized solutions

With an exceptional team of experts that understand wear and tear problems that many clients experience, in-house designers at Reparex can specify a material or combination of materials to suit any operational environment. To ensure quality service, Reparex uses both AutoCAD and Mechanical Desktop to design its products to exact specifications and precision tolerances.

In addition to having an expertise in materials computer design, Reparex’s unique application technology gives them a competitive edge technologically. “We offer our customers a one-stop-shop for superior wear systems that eliminate frequent downtime for repairs and substantially extend the service life of your equipment,” a Reparex executive said in a statement.

Overview of services

One of the key elements in finding a solution to a wear problem is the proper selection of an abrasion resistant material. This is where Reparex shines: as their experts know, no two abrasion problems are identical.

The question of which material is most suitable and most economical for a particular application can only be answered when all parameters of the abrasion problem are known. And that is precisely why Reparex considers several types of abrasion resistant materials ranging from ceramics, abrasion resistant thermal spray coatings to tungsten carbides as part of its customized solution. From traditional low-cost epoxy and weldable ceramic installations to high performing thermal spray coatings, Reparex marries its superior technologies and materials to provide a customized approach, offering a solution that balances cost with performance.

Unlike other companies, Reparex is not tied to a specific material or technology and takes pride in offering a customized solution that is most appropriate for their clients and meets their requirements. In basic terms, they offer a range of abrasion resistant materials and products, including: aerotech bonding, alumina ceramic lining, tungsten carbide, silicon carbides, thermal spray coatings, machining and grinding, as well as hybrid solutions, wearing compounds, wear back for corrosion resistance and quick fix pipe clamps.

In addition to a broad range of coatings, Reparex also specializes in solutions for exhaustion fan component, fan wheels, rotary airlocks, screen conveyors, bulk material equipment, pulverizer parts, coat piping, pneumatic conveying equipment and other applications.

Technological advantage in the marketplace

The key to designing a wear solution is the proper selection of an application technology that will allow a given wear resistant material to work in a specific operational environment. By correctly installing a wear material, Reparex ensures that its maximum wear life is achieved, delivering maximum performance and value for our customers.

Moreover, the leading provider offers precise solutions with dynamic applications that not only lead to cost savings but also exceed performance expectations. When wed with the appropriate resistance coating it makes a hybrid solution that ultimately protects equipment in the most hostile environments and extends its product life.

Storage facilities onsite

As an independent division of Reparex Fabricated Systems, Inc., RPX Composites is a facility and organization dedicated to the fabrication of Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) tanks, process vessels and structural fabrications. FRP has been used for various types of equipment since early 1950, because its strength and corrosion resistance in tanks goes unmatched by steel or other poly tanks.

Because their storage tanks are made of fiberglass, Reparex is able to offer considerable dollar savings in comparison to steel tanks. Fiberglass tanks weigh approximately 60 percent less than steel tanks and they are easier to install, saving money in the long run. Fiberglass tanks save money because they are more durable and have a longer service life than steel tanks and similar polytanks.

With its multi-faceted value added services, Reparex is a leading market provider that will continue to offer customized solutions with its proven methods and cutting edge computer design technologies.
