Chevron to explore for oil off Liberia

IRJ Aug 30 - The Chevron Corp. has signed a deal with Liberia to  explore for
oil and gas in three deepwater blocks off the nation's  coast.
Submitted for parliamentary approval, the exploration is  expected to begin
later this year, lasting up to three years.
"We are delighted to welcome Chevron as a partner fo Liberia to explore  out oil
and gas assets," SAID Liberian Presidential Press Secretary  Cyrus Badio. "Along
with its involvement, Chevron will bring the latest  technologies, best
practices in transparency and efficiencies and an  excellent record of community
and social responsibility."
