Earthquake in Oz threatens gold mining hub Kalgoorlie

IRJ April 20 - Australia’s gold haven of Kalgoorlie has been hit by an earthquake which threatens to jeopardise an array of mining operations in the area. These include the largest open-pit mine in Australia, the Kalgoorlie Gold Mine. This mine, along with a collection of others, was closed, Tuesday in precautions against the quake.
