Two power giants join forces: Electrobras and GDF Suez

IRJ Sep 3 - Eletrobras, a state-owned electricity holding company and GDF Suez,
a French power group, have joined forces in a venture to develop energy projects
in Africa and Central and South  America.
"With its very high demand for energy and strong potential for renewable
energies, Latin America is a key market for GDF Suez," said GDF to Reuters.
GDF Suez is the largest privately owned energy producer, while Electrobras is
the largest electricity company in Latin  America.
The companies' plans include research, joint projects, renewable energy and
energy production.
