ZAO PrimorTISIZ has been at the engineering surveys market for 46 years, and is now one of the leading survey organisations in Far East Russia.

History and direction
Closed Joint Stock Company "Maritime Trust of construction and engineering research" was founded in 2007 by changing the legal status of "Open Joint Stock Company PrimorTISIZ". The company was the successor of the State enterprise PrimorTISIZ, a part of the State Construction Committee of Russia, which was established in 1963 on the basis of the Primorsky branch of DalTISIZ State Construction Committee of the RSFSR.

Since 1992, according to the decision of State Construction Committee of Russia (minutes of the panel meeting on 12.02.92), JSC PrimorTISIZ was established as one of 59 specialised survey organisations and appointed to carry out the Federal-level functions aligned with the engineering survey for construction in the assigned area (Primorskiy District of Russian Federation).

In December 2000, Russian state organisation, “Gosstroj”, following on the proposal of Russia’s Primorsky Administration and in pursuant to its order No. 6 dated 28.09.99, assigned OAO PrimorTISIZ with Basic Territorial status of survey organizations (BTIO) in construction, architecture and town planning in the Primorsky Territory.

That status was an appreciation of the fact that ZAO PrimorTISIZ employs highly qualified specialists with extensive experience working both in domestic markets and with foreign companies, which complemented by all the necessary equipment, allow the company to perform work of any complexity—in strict adherence to the legal and regulatory standards of the Russian Federation.

Main business directions include:
 
- Engineering and surveying, cadastral and topographic work M 1:5000 - 1:500; survey of communications; monitoring of building deformation;
- Engineering and geological investigations, including drilling works for a variety of purposes, pilot-filtration and hydrochemical investigation of physical and mechanical characteristics of soils, the standard chemical analysis of water;
- Meteorological research;
- Exploration of building materials fields;
- Land surveying;
- Survey of soil bases of buildings and structures;
- Examination and quality control of engineering surveys materials;
- Manufacture of drilling tools and other equipment.

Customers and projects
The most significant customers of JSC PrimorTISIZ are such companies as OJSC "Giprotruboprovod", OJSC "Giprovostokneft", OJSC "Rosstroyizyskaniya", LLC "Geotransengineering", OJSC "Omskneftehimproekt", LLC "Rosekostroy", NPO "Mostovik", OJSC "GIPRODORNII","RN-Maritime Oil Refinery”, JSC SRIDS “InjGeo", and JSC "Pirs".

The most important and interesting objects, of which engineering design and construction surveys were carried out over the past 12 years by the organisation include:

construction of tank numbers 2, 4, 20-23, 25 in Vladivostok storage depot for OJSC "Primornefteproduct", re-routing the pipeline from Insha village (geophysical survey, Sakhalin), coastal and technical base in the Bay Sysoeva, Primorsky Territory, conducting research to refine the seismic activity areas in the territory of Vladivostok Oil field and the arrangement of a site for temporary storage of submarine reactor compartments.

Projects have also included the construction of isolating onshore submarine accident site, organisation of long-term observation network for groundwater’s hydrochemistry in the territory of Vladivostok Oil field, land management in the areas under OJSC Dalenergo objects, inventory of land in Section A of Kamen-Rybalov of Khankaysky Area, and construction of an Indoor Ice-skating Palace Luchegorsk in Primorsky Territory.

The company has been involved in construction of new objects for the Russian Children's Centre ("Ocean"), reclamation of coal mines, the first and second legs of construction of a main oil pipeline from Eastern Siberia to the Pacific Ocean, oil terminal in Perevoznaya Bay, Primorsky Territory, special sea oil ports in the Bay of Kozmino, as well as the main gas pipeline Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok.

Leading specialization
At present, JSC PrimorTISIZ is a leading specialist in the Primorsky Territory, a pioneering organisation able to perform a full range of engineering survey works. Most employees have Degree-level diplomas, with an average professional experience of more than 10-15 years. The company endeavours to regularly provide training and professional development to its staff and attract young professionals via designated programmes.

The organisation has a sufficient technical base (garages and workshops to accommodate vehicles and drilling rigs, repair and machine shops, warehouses, etc.), and has the necessary surveying instruments and tools, modern equipment and software.
 
During its existence, the company "PrimorTISIZ" has gained considerable experience in engineering research, including on behalf of foreign customers who famously set the most stringent requirements, not only to the quality of research, but also to the organisation of the engineering survey.

Since the 1980s, a comprehensive system of quality control engineering research in construction (COP UKIIS) has been in place; the quality management system (QMS) of international standards ISO 9000 has been adopted. Earlier in 2009 the company was certified for compliance with QMS ISO 9001:2008 (registration certificate № 09.295.026 as of May 20, 2009).

The management and leading specialists of the company have received special training in ISO-9000 courses provided by GO "Rosstroyizyskaniya" and JSC "TKB Intercertifica". The quality of the company’s survey products, produced within large-scale facilities projects over the past 11 years, have been confirmed as “High” in the numerous comments of the State Committee on the construction of the Primorsky Territory Administration—as well as by the expert opinion of OJSC “Rosstroyizyskaniya”.

At present, the following goals are set for the company:

1. Maintain and strengthen the leading position in the market of engineering research in the Primorsky Territory and the Far East region as a whole, with the market share of more than 50 per cent.
2. Establish and maintain our competitive advantages with an integrated approach to the formation of the exploratory work, the use of modern technology and new, more productive equipment, therein ensuring a higher quality of the research and boosting demand for it.
3. Increase the efficiency for utilisation of technical means while carrying out survey work.
4. Improve the pricing policies and strategies to increase sales.
5 Improve the system for collecting the actual and accurate data on our production costs.
